I have finally arrived in France, and am completely overwhelmed! I think because I have been looking forward to this for so long and now it is finally here, it is like it really isn't happening. Hard to believe I only have three weeks to go. ... and paintings. We loved a special exhibition of Benjamin Constant (1845-1902), with exquisite paintings of scenes in Morocco and various portraits. It was all an extra bonus as admissions were free, due to a strike we think. There was also the Saint Sernin Basilica, built in the 5th century.
