We are in the port of Livorno, but have chosen to go by train to Lucca, a walled Medieval city. We missed our connection in Pisa so went to see the Leaning Tower and its cathedral. They were lovely and I was glad circumstances led us to see it after all.
It continues very hot, so when we made it to Lucca, we sat in a restaurant and ate pizza. There was little else to do ...
