Once in La Spezia we saw signs for Cinque Terre (an Italian town Conor has been talking about visiting since October), so we 'audibled' one more time and decided Cinque Terre was our new destination to spend the afternoon. Following the signs, we were yet again climbing up a mountain. Once we had reached the top, we were quite confused as the signs seemed ...

... worked up an appetite. We walked around until we found a pizzeria with a friendly host and a huge menu. We sat down to eat and ended up ordering apps, dinner, dessert, and aperitifs! We also got a bit of a show with our meal as we saw a guy try to steal a girl's bike right in front of us! He ended up getting chased and thrown to the ground, and then the cops were called. First the accident in Cinque and now a crime in progress? I think I am ready for ...

... time, the whole area had been under construction and you couldn't get close to the tower (it was leaning too much). Well, I guess, after a few failed attempts they were able to straighten it (just kidding!). At least the tower is now stable and the whole area around it is much nicer. After Pisa, we drove to Lucca where we celebrated my mom's 70th birthday. It was really nice to go on a few walks and hikes ...
