      ... that goes on for miles! It was quite busy too so made for slow driving (we were again opting for the scenic route instead of the toll road). Once passed there we headed in land a bit and the landscape changed to green tree covered mountains and very windy roads.       ... time, the whole area had been under construction and you couldn't get close to the tower (it was leaning too much). Well, I guess, after a few failed attempts they were able to straighten it (just kidding!). At least the tower is now stable and the whole area around it is much nicer.       The clouds rolled in this morning and the rain began just in time for us to make our way to the train station. We took the regional train from Riomaggiore to LaSpezia and then a train to Pisa Centrale and finally a train to Pisa Aeroporto where we picked up our rental car to begin our journey through Tuscany.
