Just time for a quick 'Lucca' around.

... hot conditions, and I have particularly enjoyed the company of the young Belgian and three sociable, English-speaking Italians. A big plus of this association is they make sure I have a bed for the night. The only downside is that we eat quite late and I'm starting to get a little too used to the Grappa nightcaps.

The Tuscan landscape is starting to take on the classic look we're all familiar with from the picture books and television. Vineyards have reappeared ...

... day in Italy! Aside from the cop drama, we left the restaurant full and happy and headed back to our campsite for the night to rest for the next day spent in Lucca. After a successful day in Florence, we bussed our way to Pisa to see "you know what". Pisa is a very small town and if there was no leaning tower, there would be very few people who would visit here. It just goes to show you that even a disastrous mistakes in engineering can make money in Italy, thanks to Sir Isac Newton, who used this leaning tower for some of his experiments.
