      ... into the production and we have photographic evidence. Kathy suggested a good shot for the lounge wall, the Don felt in the kitchen a more appropriate location.       ... and two zany sisters who ran the shop. One of the sisters went on and on about earthquakes and a new way to predict them. Walked across the street to the restaurant and had a wonderful dinner. We had prosciutto and bruschetta to start, then ravioli for me and steak and spinach for Jim. Really delicious.

      Came back to the hotel and finished watching "Under the Tuscan Sun". A perfect movie to watch in Florence. Bedtime. More ...

      ... time, the whole area had been under construction and you couldn't get close to the tower (it was leaning too much). Well, I guess, after a few failed attempts they were able to straighten it (just kidding!). At least the tower is now stable and the whole area around it is much nicer. After Pisa, we drove to Lucca where we celebrated my mom's 70th birthday. It was really nice to go on a few walks and hikes ...

      ... wise around the immediate area with all the tourist activity, we actually had a pizza for lunch that we could say we really enjoyed! along with lovely glass of Chianti reserve and less than 20e - bargain!       ... a reservation). This was our last time in La Spezia, so we dashed to the supermarket for some shopping, before the next local train to Levanto. We started packing, ready for an early morning departure, but got somewhat side-tracked talking to some Aussies from Brisbane. Consequently, we ended up eating and packing in the dark!
