My photos cannot even come close to showing the beauty of the country or the warmth of the people. <br><br>I have come home with a new view of the world&#8230;.with a new attitude toward my life and my surroundings. Who would have thought that spending 5 weeks away from my familiar could be so life changing&#8230;.could make me want to &#8220;live in the moment&#8221; every day of my life? I am indeed very fortunate.

And to employ those armaments required some exceptionally patient teachers! The highest grades Ian ever received ("earned" doesn't seem to fit) were in violin and home economics. ... the end of August. After this week I am very excited! but I have a feeling that in a few months I will miss class. We come home on Monday and couldn't be more excited! Being here has been a quite an adventure, but it was one that was 2-3 weeks longer then we would have preferred. We are very excited to visit family and friends and can't wait to come back to live at the beach. So far it is much more promising then San Jose. See you soon!

On Tuesday, I plan to head back into the heat of Nicaragua, where I plan to spend a couple of days on the Island of Ometepe, while is an island formed by two volcanos on Lake Nicaragua. If you look at a map, you can see how enormous the lake is. I´m going to try to hike one of the volcanos if I get around to it. I´ll write more about that if I get to it.
