Rooms smell of pee. Noisy. Not been touched since the 70's. No hot water. Grim.

Really cute hotel, the hotel rooms were nice, hot shower, breakfast provided, great location and able to locate the hotel easily.
Hauling my two suitcase up 3 flights of stairs not so fun.

Well, I haven't adjusted to the 15 hour time difference yet, because I had a very wakeful night, then nearly slept through breakfast, again! I headed for the Larco Museum this morning. It was a 1/2 hour taxi ride there. The traffic here isn't quite as bad as Hyderabad, but it comes close. The general rule is 'first in, best dressed' and drivers are …

After a bit of a sleep in, I made it to breakfast just before 10. It was fresh melon, yogurt, poached eggs and 2 bread rolls, which should keep me going for a while! My hotel is in Mirraflores, which is a tourist district, full of hotels, boutiques and restaurants. First stop was Kennedy Park, which is famous for its resident cats. They all over …

The two hour, 9pm flight was delayed for 30 minutes waiting for a connecting flight. We had already boarded when the connection arrived, the plane filled up and off we went. I always like to rate a pilot as good, if he rolls round from the taxiway onto the runway without stopping and then powers on into the takeoff. This is a throwback to my first …
