Travel Blogs from Lima

We stayed in Lima for two days before we flew to Cuzco to start our Machu Pichu adventure. We met two Canadian ladies who took us to downtown Lima. In the evening we met some of our group who we would be hiking Machu Pichu with. We met a couple called Emma and Paul from Manchester who were also on their honeymoon. It turned out that there were four …

First day in Lima

A travel blog entry by ford86

We settled in our room and went outside to visit Miraflores, the part of the city where we stayed. Quite a touristy area, but it felt quite safe, unlike many other neighbourhoods in Lima. We mostly walked around the ocean. We saw the mall, Larcomar, el parque del amor, and more. We also practiced our Spanish. We learned so many new words! For …

Miraflores, Lima

A travel blog entry by hmgoldilocks

My plane touched down in Lima at 4:30 am. By the time I cleared customs and found my luggage, it was 5:30 and my transport from the airport to the hotel was waiting for me. Since it takes about an hour to get from the airport to Miraflores, the section of Lima I was staying in, I made a stop at the washroom on the way out of the airport. There, I …

Return to Lima

A travel blog entry by k2ted

Returned to the Hotel La Castellana in Lima then headed out to the sea front area for food, the most expensive meal of the trip so far though it did include three courses and cocktails. Sea front very lively at night. Said goodbye to Sarah as she was leaving early morning for her flight to the next step of her journey, Columbia.

Really cute hotel, the hotel rooms were nice, hot shower, breakfast provided, great location and able to locate the hotel easily.
Hauling my two suitcase up 3 flights of stairs not so fun.
