La Castellana Lima

As hard to believe to me as it is, I have made it to my final stop on my journey around the world...Peru! I arrived last night after quite an eventful travel experience... Started yesterday in BA for a little more walking around the city. We arrived back in Lima yesterday afternoon and after a final dinner and a bit of dancing later it was time to say goodbye to the first of the group to leave. Kim went on to BA to continue her journey to Antarctica! I can not believe it is actually time to take that final step and return to the US, but IŽm leaving for the airport in 20 minutes!! So we got to Lima last night and didn't do much but get to the hotel. It was 00:30 local time and we were still hungry so we ran around to the market and grabbed some snacks. Yesterday (May 31) we flew back to Lima on LAN Peru airlines with a short stopover Cuzco. Thankfully the skies were much clearer today so we could view the jungle from above. It is very flat but quite green with a few clearcut areas in the forest. There were a few glaciers spotted in the Andes mountains, which became quite brown and desolate as the plane got closer to Lima and the dry coast. Lima seems to be constantly covered with a foggy mist because of the cold ocean and the hot dry desert...

Meine Reise fing ja schon gut an, ich hatte das Glueck Businessclass zu fliegen....was fuer ne Erfahrung. Am besten waren die bequemen Sitze, die man wie ein Bett ausbreiten konnte und das Entertainment prgramm so veil Auswahl und ein drei Gaenge menue mit Weinliste und die Business class travel bag mir Parfuem, Body lotion und und und.

There were some really nice shops set in the sea front cliffs, we spent all morning looking around, and feeling as if we had seen everything in the city, spent the afternoon in the cinema!
