Nice popular hotel in good position, comfortable bed and good breakfast. Good base to explore down town and walkable to seafront.

          Ok, basic hotel in Miraflores

We stayed at this hotel due to it being the starting point of our Intrepid Sacred Land of the Incas tour. We booked two extra nights prior to the start of the tour.

Although good value, we wouldn't stay at la Castellana again. The good location in Miraflores, decent breakfast (you can ask for eggs) and pleasant staff don't compensate for the dark and noisy rooms.

As the hotel is used by many tour groups, there is a constant stream of guests slamming doors and rolling their bags along the tiled hallways at all hours of the day and night. There's no toiletries in the bathroom although there are shops and pharmacies nearby if you need to buy your own. You will need to buy your own water to clean your teeth as none is supplied.

Really cute hotel, the hotel rooms were nice, hot shower, breakfast provided, great location and able to locate the hotel easily.
Hauling my two suitcase up 3 flights of stairs not so fun.

Good night sleep despite next door having early departure. All got together for a tour of Lima including the Lovers garden on the seafront then thro the business area , Lima's equivalent of Toorak complete with park full of olive trees imported to challenge the cost of bringing in olive oil.
We went thro the Fransican church including the …

What a rubbish night's sleep. My timeclock was still all wrong but if I thought BoBo was a bit noisy, his place took it to a whole new level. The halls of the hotel were tiled with small tiles about six inches square. When a suitcase was pulled across them the noise was amazing. And pulled across them they were. Our first full day here in Lima has been quite the eye opener.
We were picked up from our hotel, taken to a local fish market, took a short boat ride up the coast and back. Then up one on the many hills surrounding the city, and learnt a bit of its layout and history.
We continued onto the second largest cemetery in the world. An amazing …

Day two with Marcelo and the rain had cleared. Another amazing breakfast. My French toast was spectacular! We were flying to Lima late in the early evening so we checked out and stored our bags. Gosh the staff are nice. They asked us if we'd organised transport and booked a taxi when we said no.

Marcelo took us a bit further on our …
