... It's obvious to Wayne but not so much to me as I guess I dont stare at women when I walk. Heading back to the hostel I did find the supermarket open and bought a bag full of lovely fruit, granola and yoghurt to make our breakfasts for the next few days. The fruit is so varied too I just wish I knew what they all were. We're glad last night was our last night bus for a while as they do knock us about. We have a nice room and loads of ...

Similarly to Rio de Janiero’s Christ the Redeemer, Cali also have a big statue of Jesus up on a hill overlooking the city. It is called Cristo Rey, and our taxi ride up there took much longer then expected (20 minutes). As we arrived at the parking lot, it started to rain, so our time at the statue lasted about 2 minutes enough time for a handstand photo and a quick snap of the approaching rain coming in over the city.

... morning Monday 5/13 I woke up and enjoyed my breakfast. During breakfast I noticed an array of new faces. This was when I met Julie from Germany who was bar-tending at the hostel, David and Kevin both of whom were from Australia, Wilco from the Netherlands but was on business in Cali, Atticus from California, and then Serena and Reika. Everyone was traveling solo besides Serena and Reika who’d been friends since they were young and living in Colorado. After talking amongst ...

... combination, I know, but that's what they offer up there and I love a bit of cheese! There are a million humming birds up this high, so we drank our drinks and watched them all buzzing around. The noise they make when they fly is incredible. They flap their wings so fast it makes a loud buzzing noise, and you just hear them zooming around all over the place. In fact, they fly past your head so fast that you don't even see them, you just hear the buzz. We tried hard to get ...

... Germans, the inside of the goblet was carved with the stars of the universe.

We headed back on the bus to Jamundi where we jumped off at a bar for lunch. They ended up not having food, but we gladly stayed for a few beers as we watched the locals dance Salsa. We joined in and danced for about an hour, enjoying the good vibrations from the crowd. We had a great dinner and then headed back to hotel for a hot, sweltering night of sleep.
