    Yesterday we arrived in Gracias after a very long, hot, bus ride from Marcala starting at 7am. Catching the bus from Marcala to La Esperanza was the easy part . Once we got into La Esperanza it became a little more difficult.     ... that was recommended in our Lonely Planet book, had some communication break down, ate, and went back to the hotel. The next day we took a taxi out to La Esperanza in search of waterfalls and a cave that had some spit paintings which are apparently 9,000-12,000 years old. This is where it got interesting .
    In the LP book it mentions that it's just a short little hike off the dirt road where you'll see some waterfalls, and about 1km beyond the falls is the cave. As we ...
