... the Murano glass tiles in Blue yellow and gold, surrounded by larger than life white marble statues.

We stopped at the Piedras Blancas Elephant seal rookery, on Highway 1 seven miles north of San Simeon. There must have been about 50 seals on the beach. Some were trying to show off with aggressive displays. Apparently they were mostly males - Typical !

California Route 1 drive was spectacular even though the fog kept rolling ...

... the one they play at for some of the US open so we have to see it. We park up and head to the club house. It is super chi chi foo foo. We are completely under dressed in our hoodies, shorts and thongs. I want a coffee so we order one from the waitress that greets us and we take a quick look at the green.
