... city I missed the buzzling streets of Palermo with its cute cafes and restaurant even more. Drenched by rain I called it a day at 5 and asked myself what was it people lined do much about this town? Well the free wine tasting in the hostel brightened my spirits and the plan for the next day was quickly made: bike and wine it was! No blue skies but at least no rain. Tightly wrapped on the bus and then later on the bike I could see a bit if the beautiful landscape ...

Sad to be leaving Santiago once again, we caught the bus back to Mendoza. This may have been a great trip across the Andes once again, we donīt know, unfortunately we slept the whole way. When everyone returned to the house afternoon tea had been prepared and we all loved a proper cup of tea.

We returned to Salta mid evening and were still stuffed from lunch so had a quiet night in. Mike had downloaded Summer Heights High for Lia and as a teacher she loved her initiation to the ...

"Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing."

The road trip started with us attempting to put far too many bags in a VW Gol. We had been shopping. The car looked like a game of Tetrus, and soon we were off on a 550km loop of Salta province, starting on Ruta 68 south to Cafayete, gaucho and wine country. I was behind the wheel, Chad shotgun navigating, and Nancy was perfectly tucked in the backseat ...
