... a mass tomb for unknown soldiers. One soldier that was identified was a 21 year old Austrian named Peter Pan, and his tomb is one of the most visited, with fresh flowers always adorning the plaque of his tomb. We make our way to the Italian memorial which houses the remains of 12,615 soldiers also killed in these major battles. monument and discovered there is a 2 km track though the farmland that comes
out in Rendola right next to where we are staying. We had fun playing with the filters on

– it was deserted as the town closes down for the long lunch break. We looked
at the ice skating rink and local “Tree Adventures’ type playground. We spied
a Gelato shop, but had to wait until 2.30 to get our daily fix – Lampone (raspberry) and double chocolate for me.
