Catchup Day

A travel blog entry by sandra2015 on Jun 03, 2015

A catchup day, had the car checked and tyres balanced just a few bits and pieces then work for me most of the afternoon then bed for Steve
work for meWe then drove for an hour and met up with Sergio's riding mates at a little trattoria, food was excellent, a lovely fresh tuna salad and lots of nice wine. A great bunch of guys and most of them had some English skills so a good story telling night.

Then working all night till around 2.30am, very tired!

... Sergio went off to find a mechanic to do a wheel alignment on the), Christina, me and Max the dog headed into the forest, trekking along at a good pace - so peaceful and it's their backyard! Super impressed.

Steve has picked up my head cold and is suffering with the headache, aching body so we are in bed early tonight as tomorrow is Dolomites day! Yay.

... only had an hours drive. We had already decided not to go into Venice, as we knew if was not going to Wheel Chair friendly, and both of us were not that keen in going to Venice. .

We walked around Padua had coffee, found a market and very large park, apparently the second largest in Europe. Considering the size of this little town, they do have a lot to offer.

With a sad heart we left Padua.

She was acting kinda rude towards Chantel, so I didn't wanna get involved. I walked back to the hostel pretty much alone and Robyn trailed behind. At one point I guess after Chantel ran off by herself, Robyn was yelling my name and got mad that I was walking by myself. ...

... last night!

Adam has planned a remarkable drive up through the Austrian Alps along Grossglockner Alpine Road this takes up 3760 metre up to Austria's highest peak. The drive is incredible. A toll is charged of 38 euros and you understand why when you see the condition of the 40km road that was built in the 1930's. It is only open end of May to August. The altitude makes my head head feel like it's going to explode and ...
