    ... that this is THE train! Michael and I are standing in the area in the inbetween carriage area when an Italian guy overhearing our "man we hope this is the train" comment says that he is from Stresa and that it's the right train but we must get off at another station to change trains. phew! lucky for us we stated chatting.

    ... and then an afternoon in Verona Hospital...he goes home with his gall bladder in tact but I'm not sure he will be able to maintain the alcohol free, fat free ..lettuce / carrot diet for long.

Finishing our short history lesson, we got onto an express ferry which went straight into the main town, Como.     Did I mention that it was a heat wave in Como? The good news is that once you get to sleep, you stay asleep. The bad news is that to deal with the heat we opened all the windows that let in the noise of the road located about 50 feet from the house.
