... making very slow headway indeed. Brian was still not feeling 100% and complaining quite a lot. When I looked back at him I saw he was drenched in sweat and very pale. So out to the road and to Carcassone we bee-lined, and the nearest hotel were checked into. Super early (before noon) I was able to do laundry and catch up on internet things.
There was also an amazing medival city high up on a hill that we went for a little walk through ...
... the same stories but every time it's hilarious.
The hi-lite of my stay in Montpellier was spending the evening with friends from elementary school I hadn't seen in over 10 years. I had completely lost touch with these people but thanks to Facebook, I was able to join them all and organize a reunion. It was absolutely wild to see how these people changed and grew up. Some changed a whole lot while others I would have recognized in ...
... BUT the info we got for the campsite was wrong and it was closed.. and the one next door too. So a rushed internet trip we found one, way out and got there just in time. France is full of red lights, roundabouts and pedestrian crossings!!!! Im SOOOOO over them all!!!!
Got to the campsite and there were no buses in town,. We were exhausted by then so fell into bed and decided to give up on that part of France and head to Lyon the next day...
... as well about my situation in specific is that I really don't have a care in the world. Time is meaningless, as every minute, every second, is just ephemeral. What matters is what those seconds and minutes amount to. A whole experience. Worrying about tomorrow is useless. When traveling, I had no idea where I would be in 3 days. 2 days was the maximum I would allow myself to look into the future. As a result, time ...

This last weekend I went to Montpellier to visit a good friend I have in France. I knew that we would see his family, and we did but everything else we did was a total pleasant surprise. Beginning with Friday night when I arrived I had no expectations for what I would do. I was greeted at a restaurant by ten of Mathias' friends. Krystel, Manu, Clauthilde, Gregoire, Isa, Marie, and two or three others ...
... to allow rain in Italy to clear. Want to re-visit Lake Garda, see if we can't get the spot right next to the lake we last had some 15 years ago, say. Don't know if it's a good idea to go back to the site of happy memories: can you improve on them in any way, or only spoil their rosy glow?
All well with rig, thankfully - you hardly know it's there!
... The artificial lake itself, additionally, glowed an amazing blue-green of its own, while the purple lavender fields stood out as well. From our campsite (tents, garage, and kitchen belonging to the adjacent house) midway up a green mountain above the lake, all of these colors served as our landscape. Not too bad. The days were incredibly hot, but the nights incredibly cold. I oftentimes awoke in my sleeping bag in the tent because of the low temperature, and it was not ...
Moustiers Sainte-Marie, Provence, France salerhand... a lady named Claudia picked me up outside the fancy town of Nyons. A Virgin Mary statue balanced on an icycle-fragile crown high atop a Nyons church; it climbed the sky as did surrounding pre-Alps highlands, and it glistened in the sun. Claudia drove a purple, beetle-y, Chitty Bang Bang-type car with flowers painted on it and the name "Banana Moon" imprinted on the back. She thinks France is going downhill, too. She blames the government and the commerce ...

It was great travelling all around europe. He brought me to Dublin, then to Montpellier, I really had a great time, but after a while such a comments like: what a great coffee didn't give me any satisfactions. I needed to travel. They had shown me part of the world, but I wanted more. That's why I left Cafetera
