... and returned after confirming that our room was ready and we gathered our gear and moved into our place for the night. Francisco, the owner of Casa Victoria greeted us and after showing us our room (a double with 3 twin beds, ensuite bathroom with shower, exposed beam ceiling and beautifully furnished with antique furniture) gave us a tour of the common kitchenette with washer and dryer and the outdoor balcony nicely furnished and overlooking the surrounding mountains ...

... me time to explore the 'chickendom'. I have to admit there is a significant level of personal achievement and satisfaction in undertaking something like this and completing things so far. My spanish is coming along really well and today negotiated a room with a shower and toilet for the same price. Happy days. ... back home with one of the neighbors and put my luggage away. I was good to have my stuff back again and be able to wear a different outfit. Three days with one pair of pants was a bit much. ... a lot of trouble getting his head around the fact that I wasn't German. He asks were we are from and Elvis told him australia, his eyes popped out of his head and he said "but she is German?"
