... we stop to check if they are ready to pick. I'm glad it was cloudy today as the path is crushed white gravel which when the sun came out was glarey. We walked on to Granon another 6.8km and stopped in the parochial hostel. This evening we are sitting in the square having an aperitivo savouring the late afternoon sun. ... We each have a set of blisters to boot; Bridge wouldn't let me photograph hers, so unfortunately you will only see mine in the pics (WARNING: GORE). ... a dozen languages. Before dinner, someone from each language was asked if they would say a few words for grace. I was asked to represent the english speakers. Then just when it was my turn, someone announced that another pilgrim has recently arrived and he was an english speaking priest candidate ... to be ordained in Wisconscin in June/2015. The honour to say grace fell to him. I had something lovely to say, and he did the regular "Bless us of Lord", oh well. ...

This is a busy section of The Camino and it seems many pilgrims have friends and family joining them for a few days or a week or so of the walk. ... of Santiago fighting off the Moors from Southern Spain. The Camino path ALWAYS leads to a church in each town or village. Since it was raining today, we decided a restaurant meal was better than a picnic. We were so pleased with that decision, we found a great restaurant outside of Logrono on a lake.
