Had there not been a jet plane in the air, leaving a white smokey trail, I pondered, it could have been any century, with the same sky having been gazed at by people on this path for a thousand years, and with what purpose? ... lots of shops and restaurants. We found a great hotel with a super breakfast buffet. So, rested and well fed, Cindy and Jessie started back on the trail on Monday. Sunday was Phil's last day on the Camino as he must return to work. He will travel to Madrid on Monday and fly home on Tuesday. He will share his closing thoughts in tomorrow's post. (This is Phil's final unedited post, pending post Camino musings, encompassing his final take on Saturday night, Sunday day, and Monday ...
