... com , we zeroed in two of the better ones - Leela and Holiday Inn both situated in a lovely beach - "Mobor"
Finally I decided to stay in Holiday Inn as we got a good offer and Leela somehow was a little over my budget.
It was a all inclusive package which I took for 3D / 4N for approx Rs 15,000/- which I believe was definitely a good deal for a 5 start resort in Goa.
The reviews in Trip Advisor definitely ...
So this is it!!! its become unbearably hot in Goa right now and we are preparing for our next trip ... I thought i would come on and do a pre trip entry to familiarise myself with this website again as haven't used it for a long time and its easier here than on the road in (slow) internet cafes. ( am I glad i did, as it has proved quite a task, its altered so much nearly lost my blog!!!) phew!! The last few days we have been getting all the necessary things together ...
Goa, India gillip... of us had an upset stomach at the time. I got back that night and downed two Gin and Tonics in the space of about 20 minutes! Come back London - I will happily ride my scooter on your streets and never again complain about anybody else on the road - promise!!! Oh - the Goan Mansion was very nice by the way ;-) My colleagues from Christie's would have had a field day there - the stuff was amazing. That evening, we were rewarded for still being alive. We went ...
Goa, Goa, India mysticzed... It is just a 10 hour drive. They said I could make a lot of money working in Banglore. Maybe 50 or 60 thousand per year Canadian. Plus super-cheap cost of living. I would be hired as a program manager. An interesting idea but I think I prefer Canada. The touts and sellers here are a bit annoying. Sellers keep walking up to you as you relax on the beach and bug you to buy things. Sarongs, jewelery, music CDs. Rickshaw touts ask you if ...
Goa, Goa, India kyewix... Sure enough, after 2 minutes of sitting I got a dead leg, my mind was wandering and I was quite bored. I did feel relaxed afterward, but I was relaxed before I'd even done it. The type of meditation was Nadabrahma. We started by sitting down and humming for 10 minutes, then for the next 15 minutes we moved our arms in a circular movement, first with palms up and then palms down. We were meant to be doing this incredibly slowly, but I'm sure I was going to ...

The place where we are staying is called benaulim, and ...
Goa, India raquel_chiel... I guess my body was adjusting to Indian spices. The fear was just about "what if I feel like before" even though I didn't feel anything like that at all. At any rate I made the best of it. I went outside and talked to the security guard by the gate to hotel. I never know if you're supposed to salute back when the security guards salute you. so sometimes I did and other times I didn't. He was from Nepal and his name was Ashok ...
Anjuna, India sneakytrees... of the day. We also attended 2 cultural nights - the first of Kathakali (a traditional Keralan dance where the 2 dancers spend about 90 minutes applying facepaint and getting dressed) and the second of kallaripayatu - a Keralan martial art using an assortment of weaponry and hand to hand combat. The first was on the 'must do' list for Kerala but we found it exceedingly dull. We wanted to leave after about 15 minutes but felt obliged to sweat in the heat and watch the whole thing. The ...
Goa, India willandsiobhanI wake up refreshed thanks to Zelia's couch and fan. Oh so good to get some sleep. I crawl slowly towards a european-style coffee place few blocks away, sweating like a pig even though it's only 10am. I make my plans to visit the place I need to see, and jump onto local bus. It's my first time on one, and does not feel all too difficult. Visit goes well, I talk to ...
