... This was a taxi ride our driver badly regretted having agreed a fixed fee! Rush hour in Rio is manic and the cab took hours! We arrived just in time for the first race; we were just about smart enough to be allowed in and I spent a few hours backing winners, whilst Zoe backed losers! ... We got to Angra and there the fun began. One of our travel books gave us dodgy directions to the only hostel in Angra and we spent about an hour and a half looking for it in the dark.
