Woken up at 7:30 by the sun streaming in the balcony window. So got up for early morning coffee then down to the Pacific Restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast went up on deck, sunny with a light breeze and we are heading to pass through the Straits of Gibraltar today. ... and working every evening when the sun goes down. Dancing til sunrise in nightclubs under the bull-ring. Meeting a Prince from Ghana. Powdering my nose in the ceiling painted Tocador of the Casino. Listening to DJs playing 80s retro accompanied by classical violinists. Being serenaded by a 21-year-old Argentinian in the Plaza de las Flores.

3 foot 9 x 2.5 hours a week is a small price to pay, and I'm no maths teacher.

By Jove, was it hot here! A decent pitch with good privacy next to the shore and the sea. But the heat and humidity were high as was the number of flies! Still, a great stop over despite that. ... de Salinas where for a very reasonable €13.50 the three course meal included two bottles of wine for the four of us. Everything you need is here and compared to the UK things are better value and even in October the temperature was in the rather pleasant mid to high 20s - I can see the appeal for so many people especially as the beaches are close by too.
