It was hot and humid so we slept in and started the day slowly. Following breakfast in the hotel we chatted with Ben and Georgia via Skype for half an hour before venturing out into the midday sun. We headed for Ristorante l'Arcimboldo again for lunch hoping to enjoy a relaxed time in air conditioning. It was not to be. All of the locals happily sat in the restaurant sweltering with no air conditioning and not even a fan. ...

... of different fish that had been lightly crumbed and grilled. There were fresh anchovies on skewers, a big flat fish, a variety of smaller whole fish and part of a large fish that they called a frog fish. We had to skin and bone much of what we ate but they all tasted good. None had a strong fishy smell or taste and I enjoyed all the varieties I tried. We finished off with a lemon sorbet that I suspect had cream in it. Delicious.

After dinner we continued the walk to Piazza Maggiore. The buildings were nicely lit and the atmosphere pleasant. Outside one of the cafes a three piece band was playing with a female lead singer. She was very good at entertaining and most songs she sang were in English.
