    ... way, thinking that the toll road may be free on Sundays. Big mistake!

    When we were almost at the border we arrived at the exit toll booth. I was first. I tried to explain to the attendant that no ticket was issued. He could not speak any English but I understood enough of his Italian to know that he wanted to charge me for using the toll road from Rome, a cost of €97!

    Not a lot to report today, fairly quiet day.

    Sue and I squeezed in a morning beach walk for an hour. It seems there are two times for the beach, early morning (9am) and arvo. Some seem to sit in the full sun all day with varying degrees of brown / redness

    ... all of us headed for the infinity pool, with the salt water Mediterranean pool roped off, with diving board, directly below.     Today was another bus day as we said adios to Barcelona and Spain and headed back into France. Our next destination was the French Riviera with our accommodation being between the celebrity favourite cities of Cannes and Nice. It was a quiet drive through the Pyrenees as most people were catching up on sleep. Again we had a few service stops on the way so that Majek could have a break. One stop was at the city of Arles.
