... famous beach in Croatia, Zlatni Rat, a long peninsula with a popular pebbly beach. The water was refreshing but it was quite hard getting in and out of the water with the rocks, so most people wear beach shoes to swim in. Marin looked after the bikes while we had a break and then we rode to the boat ...

Actually, it really is fun. Nice drive to Donji Humac and we find ourselves at the cemetery. Six mid-sized raptors launch into the skies, complaining loudly at our arrival. Quick look around the family headstones then we wander through the streets. We soon come across half a dozen village men busy organising grapes into a ...

Blue Cave and Vis

... the gangway up while we were there, but we ran back and were able to get on the boat as it pulled out. I was a bit nervous as I have been known to get seasick and hadn't taken any medicine, but the waters were calm and the ride was smooth, so I felt fine. We first stopped at the "Green Cave", which is a kind of cool cave in the side of Vis where you can jump out and swim around in the water in the cave. It was nice to get in the water and the ...
