... clouds and not much sign of rain.

So we got the thunderstorms but the swim along the way was cancelled and the high seas were a non event and I was glad of that. We got to the Island of Brac, docked and headed to a cafe for an espresso fix as I was having real caffeine withdrawals.

Our programme today included a visit to a Stone Mason School the only one in Croatia. This school at ...

... Plan B: hire car. Mmmm, thinks Rod. Right Hand Drive, winding mountain roads, manual car. This will be fun.

Actually, it really is fun. Nice drive to Donji Humac and we find ourselves at the cemetery. Six mid-sized raptors launch into the skies, complaining loudly at our arrival. Quick look around the family headstones then we wander through the streets. We soon come across half a dozen village men busy organising grapes into a ...

Rob and I woke up very tired. The bed was squeaky, so every time someone moved in the bed, you were awoken by an annoying noise. It was so hot we slept with the air con on, as there was no fan in our room, but the air con. even though set at 24 degrees, it was like Antarctica in our room and we only had a sheet on our bed. We were obviously too tired to get up and grab a blanket from the cupboard, but both of us woke up early in the morning, freezing.
