... famous beach in Croatia, Zlatni Rat, a long peninsula with a popular pebbly beach. The water was refreshing but it was quite hard getting in and out of the water with the rocks, so most people wear beach shoes to swim in. ... clouds and not much sign of rain.

So we got the thunderstorms but the swim along the way was cancelled and the high seas were a non event and I was glad of that. We got to the Island of Brac, docked and headed to a cafe for an espresso fix as I was having real caffeine withdrawals.

... so windy on route that two of the boats who were leading the way actually ran into some trouble. Not major life ending trouble but things like ripped off windows, (could have been bad if someone was in the wrong spot) lost flags, a few other crazy things that can just mess you right up when out at sea... like, I don't know, running out of petrol (yes, one of the boats ran out of gas and had to be towed!).

Luckily for us Travis knew what he was doing ...
