... that we decided to go back IF she waited on us – and she did. We had a great dinner – with local dishes and wine. And, in true European tradition, at our 7:00 p.m. dinner, we were one of only two customers at the restaurant – locals come much later.

Walked back to our apartment for the evening (and a little television – yes, there are aout eight stations in English and Croatian subtitles). We haven’t watched any TV ...

After two wonderful weeks of sailing/motoring with The Crew, we found a spot in Stobrec, just south of the city, to wash, clean and prepare for the next adventure. All done ..... for now.

The old city of Split is splendid. Ancient ruins carefully restored by UNESCO, interesting local tour guide, Green Markets, Fish Markets, ...

Split is a lovely town to holiday in and explore. It's got a great vibe about it and it's very laid back and the people are friendly. The couple who run these apartments are so friendly and helpful.
