    ... FULL of locals on a Sunday, why were they all getting off at our stop... why were there barracades around the botanical gardens... Hmm, we had stumbled across a local festival of some kind where you needed a voucher to get in, not something we could purchase apparently so we were a bit stumped when we got to the front of the queue and were basically told our name wasn't on the list... Reality check, panic not, we are in Colombia, the locals are literally the most helpful people ...

    ... reward matched the effort. I was so proud of Mum for getting there, a cracking effort! We arrived at the beach without another sole on it and were shown to our cabaña only 20m from the waters edge. It was paradise, the ocean had perfect waves to keep you entertained, we were only disturbed very occasionally by the local indigenous inhabitants the Koggi as they wandered along the beach gathering food and fishing.
