LaLaanta was a haven for us. After our airline lost our baggage, we were lucky to be staying in a place which cares so well for its guests. Thanks to Shicko and the staff for their help.
The resort itself is gorgeous - right on the beach with glorious sunsets at night. It never felt overrun with guests and we could always find beach lounges where we wanted, either y the pool or on the beach itself.
It's such a beautiful place, we hope to return one day.

... It was mesmerizing to watch and the boy remained on the beach with us throughout the whole course of the night.
After indulging in a few more sugary cocktails, we made our way back to the other side of the island, but not before stopping at 7-11 for a chocolate bar (it's not Halloween without chocolate) and some Pringles. I went to bed happy that night, full of sugar and grateful for a fun night with new friends :)
We had the boat trip booked for this afternoon so we went for breakfast and had and hour on the beach beforehand :) I had quite a disturbed sleep as the music from the beachfront clubs goes on until about 3am and the people staying at our guest house seem to make a lot of noise when they come in and out lol. I had a few weird dreams throughout the night (probably not helped by the horror film we watched before sleep haha) so woke up in a weird mood, a bit ...
... like the phoenix that it no doubt used to be, powerful and bold, creative and balanced. It was a little like seeing someone you know after some time apart and seeing them as a former shadow of themselves – it’s is a difficult experience to endure, and we believe that YJ was holding onto what the retreat used to be; as well as supplementing to the tune of $15k each moth to try and restore something which has so sadly gone too far off its original path that it can’t ...
We boarded the night train and tried to find our cabin. We walked right to the end of the car and then realised that ours was actually at the end we'd started from. Unfortunately the corridor could only fit one person with a backpack and everyone else was coming in the opposite direction. After some squeezing and shoving, entering of a stranger's cabin and having to reverse out apologising and a lot of laughing, we finally found our home for the next 15 hours. It was ...
... door. Caleb's sausages meal turned out to be cocktail wieners sliced at either end - an odd presentation. I spent a good two hours booking multiple places here in Thailand and Bali and then rented a bike so we could go riding the next day. I also took the plunge and booked myself into a scuba refresher and dive trip. Crazy Caleb passed out at 4PM and did not fully wake until the next morning - sun and swimming can tire anyone ...
