LaLaanta was a haven for us. After our airline lost our baggage, we were lucky to be staying in a place which cares so well for its guests. Thanks to Shicko and the staff for their help.
The resort itself is gorgeous - right on the beach with glorious sunsets at night. It never felt overrun with guests and we could always find beach lounges where we wanted, either y the pool or on the beach itself.
It's such a beautiful place, we hope to return one day.

We ate breakfast whilst of course feeding the local cat, this one named Leone. We then left immediately as Leone was snooty an left our ham on the floor. We took a taxi after some serious bartering to Baan lanta and our favourite accomadation yet. The hut is incredible and the pool just outside is actually cool which is great. We went for a walk on the beach and ha lunch ...

... of the week). It wasn't a complete surprise, the napping (Harry loves to sleep), or their presence, we knew they were arriving but unsure exactly when. After Amelia and her mum got back from the shops, they decided it was time for another massage. Not being able to resist the temptation I joined them for a short stroll up the beach, to have a foot massage in a bamboo shack, with only the sounds of the sea (and perhaps the odd snore) it was the perfect setting. It was such a ...

... head lamps for us. Early on we were resigned to the fact that the guide was not going to say much. Maybe it's just this developing part of Thailand but the business owners really have no sense of greeting and paying their customers any attention. We are noticing people sleeping on the job and not acknowledging paying customers for long periods of time. Some people have gotten it and understand that on an island full of tourists you might want to be somewhat friendly. It was ...

Some time ago Shane decided to teach me how to play chess - little we knew how important this will become in Ko Lanta which turned out to be our chess destination. We spend there a week and if it wouldn't be for expiring visa- we would definitely stay much longer. After 2 uneventful days in Ao Nang- closest to Krabi beach destination, we decided to move to Ko Lanta which became our own relaxation paradise. There is not much to do there- It's more ...
