LaLaanta was a haven for us. After our airline lost our baggage, we were lucky to be staying in a place which cares so well for its guests. Thanks to Shicko and the staff for their help.
The resort itself is gorgeous - right on the beach with glorious sunsets at night. It never felt overrun with guests and we could always find beach lounges where we wanted, either y the pool or on the beach itself.
It's such a beautiful place, we hope to return one day.

We decided on a day trip exploring the island a bit more, by hiring mopeds; I was not in the least bit interested in having my own moped, the only way I was going on one was if I was on the back of Edd's. End of discussion. The place we were staying at had mopeds you could hire for the day, but only one was available, so Edd found another place just up the road we could get the second one from. POA established. It was time for bed.

We are definitely in. First session in 90 minutes. Erin decided to go for a facial and I went for ...
... room would be. Unfortunately for me, if was quite far away from our original room- I say unfortunately firstly, because I struggled to find it to start with plus I had to move all the bags on my own!! Our two big backpacks, a medium sized rucksack, three carrier bags which wouldn't fit, my handbag and my day bag. I managed it in two trips thankfully!! As well as being further away from our original room, it was also further from ...
Christine headed out for a ride to the old town. She kept to the main roads and have a good 30KM ride. Being early in the morning, Christine escaped the Thai heat. Caleb and I had our mandatory paddle ball game followed by a beach soccer match. Even with only an hour in the early morning sun - we got some color. The sun here is very strong even with 50 block sunscreen on. Our complex is 80+ occupied by ...
... with the big **** knives when smashing the garlic or shallots where she would let out “KILL IT” with much gusto in her cute Thai accent and high pitched squeal! After some background into Thai cooking and flavours over Mieng Kham (Thailand in one bite), we made our favourite, som tam (papaya salad), pad thai with shrimp and a delicious 3 flavoured sauce to go with pan fried fish and deep fried Thai basil. So now with a Vietnamese and Thai cooking class under our belts, ...
