LaLaanta was a haven for us. After our airline lost our baggage, we were lucky to be staying in a place which cares so well for its guests. Thanks to Shicko and the staff for their help.
The resort itself is gorgeous - right on the beach with glorious sunsets at night. It never felt overrun with guests and we could always find beach lounges where we wanted, either y the pool or on the beach itself.
It's such a beautiful place, we hope to return one day.

... holiday homes, meaning that the beach is pretty quiet. At lunch we stumbled across 'Bootshaus', a German restaurant just opposite our hotel. I couldn't resist the bratwurst and German bread... I think its safe to say that I always find the German restaurants wherever we are. Last night we went to have a look at the beach, and found a really nice little resort which does cheap mango juice with a great view of the sunset... so we chilled there for a ...

... easily flagged one down and requested Lanta Pura Hotel. The driver laughed and pointed down the road. He didn't even want to take us such a short journey as it turns out we were only a few hundred yards away By the time we arrived in the reception we were both soaked. On the way down the road, whilst sheltering under a shop front, an English man starting talking to us. We learned he had been here almost 3 weeks and so far ...

Pascal even saw a poisonous striped ocean snake... Whoa!!! We are very new to snorkelling but can't imagine a more beautiful experience or more beautiful surroundings. Every time we looked up from the water ...

The feel of this island however, was what stood out the most. Each beach shack, bungalow or homestay had their own unique style of beach bar on the front, some ...

... all the ingredients in a mortar and pestle. The smells were really good. I liked the cooking class and I got a certificate.

We went on a tour on a long tail boat. We jumped off the boat and did snorkeling. I saw all different types of fish including a Nemo fish. The water was green and clear. We then swam through a cave, it was really dark and we couldn't see anything. On the other side of the cave was a secret beach, it was really cool. After the ...
