LaLaanta was a haven for us. After our airline lost our baggage, we were lucky to be staying in a place which cares so well for its guests. Thanks to Shicko and the staff for their help.
The resort itself is gorgeous - right on the beach with glorious sunsets at night. It never felt overrun with guests and we could always find beach lounges where we wanted, either y the pool or on the beach itself.
It's such a beautiful place, we hope to return one day.

... of staff said hello to you whenever you saw them and the people working at the Layana seemed to enjoy what they are doing- at all levels from Management to housekeeping, front desk, bar service and the restaurant. The hotel motto "Nothing is too much trouble" really lives up to its promise. So it's with sad hearts and the gloomy realization that our mega moon is nearly over that we piled into the minibus which would take us to Krabie airport to make our way to Bangkok for our last few days. ...

... as to where its namecomes from. Within 2 or 3 minutes of us arriving and monkeys begin to flood down onto the beach. We took photo's and watched as they rolled around in the sand. One guy got a little bit too close and the monkey lashed out at him. A few of them began to run down the beach thinking there was food. We moved back into the water for safety but whenthey entered the water we realised it wastime to leave.

... recommend it though, despite the crowds. The following day I went on a waterfall trek, which, it turned out, wasn't a waterfall, instead a sorry dibble meandering down a rock face. What they don't tell you in the brochure is that the waterfall is only there in the wet season, great. I didn't let it deter me from Koh Lanta though, and as I would like to visit Ko Lipe at some point in the future, I may schedule a few days back here while I'm in the ...

... so relaxed ever. The four of us went back to the bungalows for a shower and a drink. We were planning to go back out after we had freshened up but two women from the next two bungalows came out to their porches and we just sat chatting with them all night! We are thinking of staying longer than just the two nights we have booked... we all love it ...
