Our seemingly relaxed week last week only got better this week and we are now well and truly in the basque spirit and loving every minute of it. This week has flown by with us doing not a whole lot. ... options! We nearly ordered eggs instead of water. Herb was the only one who found his ‘French’ niche and sounded convincing! I was getting mixed up with German, Spanish and French and I’m sure I might even have spoken Afrikaans at one point, perhaps with a Dutch accent! To think that we will have to brave Portuguese within the next few days. Lots of fun!

I will be downloading pictures tonight.

We left Bordeaux about 10.00 am and we arrived about 14.00 in Bayonne . It was our anniversary so we had lunch out. We had a platter of meat including Bayonne ham. We also ate squid and grilled mussels . Our wine was basque and good. We later went for a walk. Bayonne ...
