... white people on the whole beach.....everyone one else, young, old, short, tall, skinny, fat were all brown as berries. We hobbled our way, most ungraciously, across the pebbles and flopped in the water :). The water was quite cool....not what we expected of the Mediterranean Sea. Today we (Briana, from California, Franco from Argentina and I) took the train to Pompeii. Franco knows a bit of Italian and led the way so I don't stress out. We got audio guides and wondered around for about 3/3.5 hours. Right now we are waiting at the Pompei Scavi station waiting to go back to naples. ... near the main entrance which we arrived at last. This included lots of dead bodies which I loved. The people were a lot smaller than me and were frozen in positions as they had died from the volcano. It was very interesting and a bit sad. I guess it was a good way to do it, as we were impressed by the ruins at the end that weren’t so good, so when we got to the actual good ruins we were super impressed.
