... I crossed Blue Angels Blvd and passed the main gate for Pensacola Navel Air Station, home of the Blue Angels. I should have turned around and taken a picture. The main gate is painted the blue and gold colors of the Blue Angels. I kick myself now. After a few miles NW on H-290 we found a Love's Truck Plaza in Waller, TX ...

... easier to just stop on the way instead of backtracking, so Cheryl called to find out what the parking situation might be like. The lady said that there was plenty of room for an RV in the lot. Yes, we have played this game and lost before. To our delight, the parking lot was huge and there were other busses and trucks parked in the lot. We had plenty of room and easy access in and out.

We found a good parking spot and turned on the generator and ...

"You are in real redneck territory here". So we were told by the man in the hardware shop! (I had to ask John what a Redneck was - originally poor white rural people). All the locals have very thick Southern accents down here. They all start each sentence with "Yous all......"

Passed Florida's State capital, Tallahassee. Bit like Canberra, in the middle of nowhere, in the Florida panhandle (the narrow bit ...
