do Comanche puzzles. The rest of us wandered a little more leisurely
and took it in a little more.
From there we headed to the Holy Land.
Unfortunately the website had been updated to say it was closed on
Mondays and Tuesdays so we met a bolted gate when we arrived.
Thankfully not too far off the road we would've taken anyway so we
headed west again for a bit.
... buffalo remained out of sight. Not one buffalo was to be found despite our singing the water buffalo song multiple times in a sad attempt to entice them. NO amount of veggie tales was effective, but I must say that the memories made with the family are fabulous. We climbed all over the rocks and hicked all over the rockland. Lawton is a nice town and very oriented to the military personnel. Saw lots of ways that they show respect for the troops stationed there. The surrounding area is nice, pretty flat and not highly forested but not a lot of farmland there.
