I arrived -- without mishap and in relatively good time -- at the Indianapolis home of Brian, Lisa, and the lovely Miss Brianna. I met Lisa (Wally's younger cousin) and Brian a long time ago and fell in love with both of them immediately. How could you not? Smart, funny, kind... they're great fun to hang around with. I knew I couldn't come this close without stopping by.

Unfortunately we had just had brekky so we couldn't justify buying the fresh baked goods... the smell made it very tempting!
We went to the movies to see X-men. $8.50... so cheap! The seats in the theatre were so so comfortable! The movie wasn't too bad either. Being a Wed arvo we pretty much had the theatre to ourselves.
Afterwards we played a round of 'Glow in the Dark Mini Golf'. ...
... sports such as Basketball, NFL, Gymnastics, Soccer, Lacrosse, Swimming, Shooting, Volleyball... the list goes on. The second floor was all interactive games where you could test your skills. There was a simulator screen which you could throw and kick in various sports challenges. We tried our hand at NFL, baseball, basketball and soccer. ... Peru seeing the many facets of the country. This is what got my attention. I would not only be sightseeing, but getting a taste of local flare and happenings. Since the local touch is more my style, I uncertainly booked the trip. My nervousness was not with going to Peru, but with going with a group. Totally not my style, but given the short notice and general knowledge of Peruvian travel, it seemed much easier. Right now, I need easy.
It was a lovely, bright morning when I arrived in one of the many parking lots outside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway shortly after 7am where I found thousands already parked, many with the tailgate party well underway. I made my way to the track to soak up the atmosphere and what an atmosphere it was. Slowly but surely the stands began to fill as the traditions were observed from the legends parade to the driver introductions, the singing of "Back home in Indiana" ...
