          ... water and bleach is). But it was nice to get to live another way for a time. I enjoyed the change from the cathedrals to visiting the elaborate temples and wats. I liked eating the local food, even though the dishes were washed in the streets and you could never b sure if your food was sanitarily prepared. The Vietnamese food was by far my favorite.           ... of our mid-west states. The 18 day trip will take us from Baton Rouge, through Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Utah and back down to Arizona to head back home through again New Mexico and Texas.

          We plan to check in and document as much as possible; hopefully daily. The trip itself is over 4500 miles so there will be a lot of road time.

          So, the next post will likely come when we are somewhere in Texas,

I was able to catch up with a dear lady who I had not even in touch with since she came to visit Christchurch in 1989, she is now 91 and is legally blind, but still has such a wonderful sense of humour and caring soul.           ... Boy's maiden voyage. So, when Dad fired up the engine and pulled in the slides for the first time, it wasn't a pretty sight. Mom thought she could hold BB, WRONG!!!!
