After leaving Tahoe we drove towards the southerly inland highway 395 towards Mono Lake and the western entrance to Yosemite. We headed off over 3 high passes on the quiet byway 89. Le levé du corps est un peu plus difficile ce matin, ça nous rappelle que le vin était bon hier. On se lève malgré tout à 6:00, on se prépare comme tous les matins. On est pas déçu de quitté le Condo qui tout en tapis nous laissait un air sec avec une drôle d'odeur.

time to make it to the giant grizzly sequoia and the California sequoia which
had had a hole cut out of it so people could drive a car through it in the
early 1900s. amazingly it had already
grew back over the hole quite a bit ...
The trip to Fresno was not the most enjoyable. I guess that is the joy of non revving with flights. It took 4 flights to get here and nearly 27 hours. I came here with the purpose of visiting a friend of mine from college. I have not seen a college friend from Lindenwood in 7 years since leaving the college. Despite the horrible plane rides there, it was worth it. Fresno is not such ...
Errrr can't really say much about Fresno. Its taken us approximately 7 hours to get here - 350 mile. (we had quite a few stop offs on the way for photos) The place is just a small town but by the time we arrived, everywhere was shut so we just grabbed some snacks and headed on back to the hotel. The drive here was lovely. Had some amazing views yet again. But bloody hell did it get cold ...

Very comfortable and clean. Not such a handy location for restaurants unless you want hamburgers. Staff very good. Large rooms. Good beds.
