Very comfortable and clean. Not such a handy location for restaurants unless you want hamburgers. Staff very good. Large rooms. Good beds.

Monday was a highlight of our trip. We woke very early to board our luxurious coach, complete with huge leather seats, to take us on our trip around Napa Valley. Our driver come tour guide Ken was fab. He spoke for most of the journey, firstly telling us all about San Fran as we drove out of the city and then about the different vineyards and wineries once we were in Napa. Napa was ...

          ... hissy fit.

Why Fresno ? ! Well it was close to the entrances of Yosemite without the price tag and driving nearly a 1000 kms is enough for ones peace of mind.

The temperature seemed rather hot here - I think it was - but we had become used to the cooler climate of the high 'plateau' of Utah and Arizona states. Inland California is actually desert - you would not think it on the coast but the inland landscape is rather bland with agriculture for dry hot crop ...

However, today we had plans of going to the buffet again and just eat and watch tv there. We had nothing to do until 11 am, when the buffet open, so me and Cheng just stayed at Bob's house ...

La Quinta in Fowler is beautiful and new but the hot tub was not functioning. Too bad because Kathleen and I could have used a hot tub with bubbles to relax our muscles from our ride from Alhambra to here.

You can see how conflicted Haley was when we left her with a cat sitter that would come to visit her twice a day to feed and entertain her.

The drive was spectacular with the soft hills around ...
