      So today we went to the volcano rincon de la veija, unfortunately the crater was closed but we did all the activities at the base! I'm glad in hindsight as the hike to the crater was classified as 'challenging' and today is the hottest day yet, more like a dry heat with very little wind!       ... showed up in the pool with their kids. We met a family from San Jose, Costa Rica. The mother was a native and the father was from Montana. He came here 10 years ago and was about to leave when he met his wife. We met an awesome poolside waiter named Juan Diego and Cindy. Cindy is studying to be an English teacher here in Costa Rica and speaks pretty good English. We were bouncing our Spanish off of her.

      Two quirky things about his place. 1. We found not one but 2 scorpions in the shower (Morgs totally lost the plot). 2. There was also a Penrith Panthers NRL towel hanging over the shower curtain. We were not the first Aussies in this neck of the woods. : )

      ... we had kept Bill's ashes until her passing. It was at this time that Bill's request was honored. We then decided to save some of the parents ashes and bring them "home" to Europe and spread them there. It was a trip that was going to last only a month, but turned into almost a year. So two weeks later, off we flew with the remainder of Bill's and Renate's ashes neatly packed hoping they would approve.
