... No 9 (this is Switzerland, no waiting) and back into town. We had promised the kids a crêpe for lunch and headed back towards the fountain (of yesterday's fame). Low and behold the fountain square was now covered by the local market. What an excellent use of public space, the Swiss parliamentarians must be very proud looking down from their windows onto such a used and loved landmark. Anyway, crêpes . . . ham and cheese all round. A great way to round out our visit to ...

She was very hospitable and left us some things for breakfast and even offered to cool lunch the next day. It's pretty great ...

... on we had a peek at the Bundeshaus (Parliament Building) and the Nationalbank (ironically they are just next to each other). It's not a fairytale that underneath the square in front of the two buildings the national bank is keeping the gold reserves of Switzerland.

Next stop on our tour was the Münster Cathedral. It is the tallest Cathedral of Switzerland which we experienced first hand on the 344 steps up to ...

Salina: Last night we nearly finished packing our luggage and preparing our day packs for today, so it wasn't too rushed for us to get ready in the morning. We were told that we would be on the bus the whole day until we get to Lyon this evening, but to our surprise, our tour manager, Ryan, decided to take a detour for our lunch stop at Bern, the capital of Switzerland! Ryan told us three different explanations ...
