... day. We knew it would be a long distance, but we weren't expecting the traffic.

We finally made it to the hotel at 10PM, checked in, and had a late dinner in the hotel bar. Not the best planning, but we got here, and our room is very nice! It’s on the Regency club level with a beautiful view of the Rhine from our windows. Time for bed after that frustrating drive! Tomorrow should be easier, as we're covering much less distance - plus it’s ...

... Thanks to all those helpful people.

Finally we started walking towards our dorms and this was our first day shock. Actually first day experience, because we had learnt a lot from this incident!! And we reached our dorms and we were given the keys to our apartment and we had to give a deposit of $100 or 100 CHF which we would get back after check out inspection. We took our keys and headed towards our individual rooms. We decided to meet ...

Today we drove to Erlenbach im Simmental (approx. 700 m above sea level). We didn't see much of the village though, because our goal was the top of the Stockhorn mountain (2190 m high). It took 2 gondola rides to get there. On one side of the mountain the view was great, with sometimes a cloud blocking the view. On the other side, we couldn't see anything ...

... belongings, put our bags away then had a small rest in our room. Then we were off to search the streets of Switzerland! Nikki was extremely excited as she sees this as her second home and if she could, she would live here! Switzerland streets were great! Amazing shops! Big supermarkets! Lots of chocolate! Sport stores with ice hockey gear and so much more! Bern's coat of arms is a black bear, and everything in the city has bears on it! There ...

    ... the Pass instead.

The Semper Pass was a fog and cloud filled mountain road. With major roadworks going on. We drove through it without incident but we were very happy when we emerged out of a tunnel and the sun was finally there! Then we saw beautiful views of the Alps, some snow covered, and it was much more pleasant.

From there, we drove through more mountains with typical Swiss wooden houses and more views ...
