    ... you soon find out that you pack too much. I figured that I would not really buy too much once I'm taking my classes. ????? We'll see.

    I cannot wait to explore Angers. Marie, my host mom, gave me a tour by car of Angers. I will visit downtown, the castle of Angers & probably take a river tour one evening. Tonight we have our welcome dinner at a Crepe rest

    ... but it was my turn to have an upset stomach, though in my case it was caused by gorging myself on all the lovely fruit. I know it makes me ill but I couldn't resist.

    My stay in Couhe was very relaxing, it was too hot to do much other than swim in the pool and take gentle walks in the woods next to the river and and abbey but it suited me fine for a few days.

    ... aviary, and a very unexpected vulture display. I call it a display because the vultures settled on the ground in an enclosure that you walk through. And yet there was nothing to stop them flying away. Were their wings clipped? I don't know.

    ... in France' for afternoon tea and a stroll in the garden. It really is a dream for those with the fortitude to take on the renovations and we have been lucky to get a glimpse of their lifestyle, and mosquitoes. Scones, greengage jam with cream and a real flat white coffee had us enthusing such that they have lent us their old coffee machine until we leave. Very kind and our guests will be grateful ...
