Sweet life on the Goan beach
... We enjoyed a 1,5 kg red snapper beautifully cooked in the tandoor oven, munched on Naan or parathas, different rice and loads of vegetables. Every day we had different curries, Roger's favorite tandoori chicken or a fantastic Thali (Claudia's top choice). We visited the local park for a few hours, which also houses the local zoo and museum - very pictureque, and as you'd expect, full of stray dogs!
On the way back to our hotel, we did our most successful haggle to date (though telling the price would be rude - it's a present!). The shop attendant did a good job of making us feel really guilty...but hey, she didn't have to sell to us!

22 Hours in a Goan Hospital
My very first morning in Mumbai I developed a nauseous stomach ache - before eating or drinking anything here in India. Thought for sure I was going to throw up. Had to sleep a few hours in late morning because of it. When I woke it was gone. Next morning it was back. Almost threw up in Mumbai airport and on plane to Delhi. Then it went away as quickly as it came.

The crime rate is very low too. The downside of the slum is that it is very polluted and there are lots of toxins about, but the area did not smell bad even the toilets which surprised us.
