... kilometer stones. Despite feeling relatively warm at the top of the climb, the descent was so cold we both started shivering a little! Despite wearing gloves, my hands were so cold at times that I couldn't feel if I was on the brakes or not! Well our riding is practically over. We have conquered Cime de la Bonette without any damage to our physical beings and am now a stones throw from Nice (depending how strong you are. it may still be a 2 day ride to get ...

The property is a rustic old two story farm building, built around an enormous courtyard. The courtyard is now grass with a gravel border, and our room has French doors opening out to it. Comfy beds and very quiet. And at last...a good hair dryer! My first good hair day this holiday! Made it to breakfast with 15 minutes to ...

... where we had to wait in a queue at a red light as its only single lane. Once we got the green light, we couldn't figure why - you can see the road markings that it has previously operated two-way. Funny though, as we entered the tunnel it was getting dark and threatening rain, and was France. At the other end, it's Italy, and the sun was shining brightly! Arrived Saluzzo about 8, and weren't sure we liked the look of the place we had ...
