      I wake up at 6am in the Albergo Cavalieri del Tau in Altopascio , Italy. After a quick breakfast I am on the road soon after 8am.

      ... but surely, we made it. The sign at the top of the climb was a stone with a plaque about La Bonette. We were a bit disappointed. Being the highest altitude climb of our itinerary, we were hoping for something more showy. How inconsiderate! There was a small gravel track up to a lookout. We decided to walk this bit.
