    ... had a few waves until the sun went down on the horizon. Probably the best surf I had so far in France and it wasn’t crowed… Today the contest is cancelled and we are relaxing in a little bar 'Blue Café’ at the boulevard in Hossegor with a big screen of the surf.

    Tomorrow we will enter Spain and change the scenarie going through the Pyrenees mountains, will keep you posted!

    ... in the bubble of my vehicle, bounced around by the various stimulants... excitement, sadness, anxiety, freedom... That night I parked up in a service station at Lugos after dark, feeling claustrophobic, dirty, disorganised, and slept in my clothes with the benefit of at least being able to stretch out... It was quite fun being nowhere though, slightly lost in transit getting a chocolat chaud from the empty cafe, falling into a cautious sleep for the first time in my van.

    We are now 2/3 of the way down the French west coast and things are changing. Up north, thatched roofs, slate and clay tile roofs, no verandahs, traditional European housing, soft French accents. Down here, the Spanish influence. White walls, terracotta tile roofs, verandahs, and a harsher accent.
