... I am hoping will pull some more punters in. I even had an enquiry for next Christmas! I also had a phone call from the director of the ESF ( Ėcole du Ski) in La Mongie asking to meet us, not sure what for but it sort of feels an honour and may be very useful, so the business cards paid off.

So dear family and friends have a wonderful day together, we miss you (but not the UK!!) and will be thinking of you all together.

... deserved to win the match; we all know how it feels to lose by one point..... so the match was followed by oysters and seafood, roast beef and my homemade pear tarte tatin accompanied by good wine. ... waters. Very grand and palatial. Dinner again with the Aussies who will help me with my Australian book tour. Did I mention that I am planning a six week India tour next autumn.

After four days of glorious sunshine it started to rain so I just drove home. It is so easy to get there on the new autoroute I may go a few times next year. Tons of spectacular walks to be done. Perhaps I should find a cottage.

... ratatouille hybrid. We got about halfway through when Meg decided that her lunch contained raw beef ("steak tartare"). It quickly found the garbage and a safe baguette sandwich appeared in its place.

After our lunching adventure, we headed a few blocks in the other direction and found a very elegant shopping area that would rival any other. Indoor malls, outdoor malls, haute couture, it was all here. As were a very young and active population. ...
