24 Hours in Switzerland

... to Geneva was gorgeous! We passed by snow covered mountains, lakes, farms, and small villages that I never would have seen otherwise. Even though the ride is a bit rougher, I think the experience of riding on a train is much less stressful than going to an airport, through security, and then onto a plane. I woke up an hour before my train was scheduled to leave, walked to the lake, and then to the station with plenty of time to spare.

... seen D so relieved to find a shopping centre!! When we found our way home we went Today we woke up.... and the sun was shining!!!! We decided to go down to the markets in the old town and they were really good with so much fresh food. ... amazing, perhaps more than 200 stalls throughout the long street. There is the old town reaching down to the lakeside and surrounding the two rivers which merge around the Palais de l'Isle. The lake is surrounded by the Aips and it's absolutely magical beautiful and about 40 km from the Swiss border. It is a perfect spot for romantic getaway, or family vacation.

I would recommend Annecy to anyone who is headed toward the Alps !!!
