    Caught train from Gare de Lyon for Annecy. Train ride was very pretty and arrived in Annecy around 1pm. Walked from train station to our beautiful hotel Imperial Hotel right on the lake. Dropped our bags off and then went for walk into Annecy.

    ... is beautiful with a lovely big room, wide balcony overlooking the pool and out to sea, and a bath. We walked down into the village of Pietranera, just out of Bastia, and unfortunately we couldn't find any sandy beaches, only a few little pebbly ones.
