... neat as Rothenburg or Bernkastel. We walked the cobble-stoned streets before heading back to Lahr and an attempt to find the old Canadian casserne we I worked during both of my stays in Lahr (1978-80 and 1988-91). We found it but the light was not good enough for pictures. Tomorrow before we depart Lahr, we will stop by for some photos.

As it was getting late and we didn't wish to stay in Strasburg proper, we took a quick walk to the cathedral square and a photo opportunity. ...

... short, the damn route got us lost and we ended up doing another massive detour. At rixheim, we eventually turned around to try to find any kind of river to camp on. Rivers are nice. We didnt find the rhine, but ended up staying on the banks of a kittle canal which was super pretty and a fair distance from any dodgy dog walkers!
dinner, consisting of more garlic tha pasta, followed by wine and bed was pretty much exactly what the doctor ...

... have had yet. We each got a dish of wild game, nuts, cranberries, a
yummy gravy, and spaetzle. Not to mention the bottle of locally made
          Riesling. We left completely stuffed.

          Sunday morning we visited
the main part of Freiburg, setting out to see the cathedral. One
oversight was that in Germany on Sunday mornings, almost everything is
closed. In fact most shops are closed for the entire day. We wanted to
          see the cathedral, ...

We drove to the 1000 m above sea level point to view the lake, just amazing.

From there we drove through cobbled streets of Munster and headed to Colmar, we wanted to revisit the Statue of Liberty and this time not drive past but stop and take a photo.

          At 12 ...
