The pinging of gravel as I picked up speed on the chip and seal surface inspired little confidence, but when whole patches of gravel started covering the ...

    This entry by Tom.

There was a ruckus outside our hotel room window starting at about 6:30am--music, someone announcing...something. What could possibly be going on that early on a Sunday morning? Trail running races. The start/finish arch, clock and announcer's booth was right at our hotel's front door.
