We left Emilion, a quiet and peaceful place and travelled into Bordeaux, noisy busy and hundreds of cars on the roads into the city. A massive contrast. I didn't personally enjoy Bordeaux but more because my head hurt and also we had parked our Beast in a pretty shady district and pedalled into the city. There were call girls on each corner and rubbish everywhere and while we were walking around Bordeaux I was conscious of a small niggle of ...

    This entry by Tom.

All 18 of us, including Caroline, were dressed in our trip jerseys (designed by Linda again this year) for our first day on the bike. Looked good. Gotta say everything is awesome when you're part of a team.

It doesn't matter if the title of today's entry makes you think of Canned Heat or Kenny Rogers, the idea is still the same - today was time to put the rubber to the road and see what our band of cyclists was made of. After the requisite group photo we took off, initially keeping together until the friskier broke away from the peloton and set off across the countryside at high speed. The terrain was flat as ...

... max) until I got on the outskirts of Biarritz. Big sis Sue will be pleased to hear I've let them know you're coming in August and they've promised to spruce the place up for you..
It's a really lovely Town, very chic and bustling. I've got here on a Sunday which means all the locals are strutting their stuff. It's blooming hot and I've taken refuge in this bar, hence the impromptu entry. Now It seems probable that I can get wifi in most bars I should be ...
