... about 8 miles away). We caught the bus for the bargain price of 3 euro each return and had a great day wandering through all the old streets and around the harbour area checking out all the yatchs and dodging the downpours.

Spent the evening catching up with all the family on facetime which was so lovely then an early night as we are on the road again tomorrow......

The village surrounded the walled castle, that had been reduced in size due to a falling out with Cardinal Richelieu who ordered the wall and keep demolished in 1629. This left the castle unprotected and hence guaranteed allegiance.

After a restful day Pat and Pam were so full of beans they got up at 7am (mistaking it for 8am). Our camping facilities included a double. Garage with table chairs and a light so we were able to have breakfast and pack up under cover. A different day. We expected rain today but woke to cloudy but dry weather. We packed up the tents before the expected rains. after breakfast we set off towards Redon. 11 miles of rolling small lanes through the Brittany countryside followed when we reached Thehillac and decided to stop for coffee.
