Time to start moving south in the hope of some warmer weather and less rain.......Daisy was raring to go just after 9.30am so we headed off to Vannes on the south coast of Brittany and arrived around midday. We were really looking forward to this campsite as it was close to the town centre and had a full spa facility including a 26 deg pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room which we could use for 10 euros for 5 ...

A dining room with huge open fire and hidden door leading from the basement kitchen, a hall, entry vestibule, library and study. The building one room deep about 6 meters with adjoining doors between each room in line across the front of the building, so no hall required. Each room was lavishly decorated in 18th century style, just glorious.

A different day. We expected rain today but woke to cloudy but dry weather. We packed up the tents before the expected rains. after breakfast we set off towards Redon. 11 miles of rolling small lanes through the Brittany countryside followed when we reached Thehillac and decided to stop for coffee.
