The small town of Beaune! This city was a very nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Paris and Versailles. The charm of Beaune is that it is in the middle of wine country here in France. There are vineyards that stretch for miles around the borders of the town.

We started the day with a very tasty Beaune breakfast. Croque Madame for myself and ...

The one 2 minute toilet stop in 6 hours of driving staggered Kev though and he reminisced about the first time he took Erin to Bunbury and was asked to stop 3 times for toilet breaks on the 2 hour journey. How times have changed.

Once in the town of Cognac though we only knew ...

Our train didn't leave Paris until 11:15 AM so we slept in and had a relaxed morning. The train was a TGV, the first high speed train we've been on. It was so fast it was actually a little scary, but what a great way to travel. I wish we had the same infrastructure in the U.S. We stopped in Dijon to transfer and have a quick lunch before arriving in Beaune, a lovely small town in the heart of Burgundy wine county. Although Dijon is still famous for ...
