As a hotel guest, they give me ticket for free travelling around the city. The city separated by the lake. Almost every shops selling watches. I don't understand why people buy expensive watch which the same value to buy a car. can any one tell me?.
... a New Year's Eve in Venice....so I tagged along. It is incredible how long can it take for the time to come around and start your journey. And when you are there, the time flies! I can't wait to begin this year adventure, but until the time comes, I'll wait.
Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland wpabon... politics and culture, so he doesn't push the French on me. I have really learned a lot from them, and am so thankful for all that they have given me. I made them Chicken Wild Rice soup last Friday (and I listened to a Prairie Home Companion while I was cooking... felt like home). The soup turned out alright, kind of salty... of course my mom can do it better...
My friends got a hold of an American football, so we played ...
... conversions for once - until we realized that all the prices were insanely expensive. I miss Eastern Europe.
The next morning, we got up and headed to the far side of town for the UN building and the Red Cross Museum. Unfortunately, the UN is closed every weekend in the wintertime, which seems to start in tourist Europe on November 1 for all intents and purposes. Of course. As a consolation, we were able to see a lot of different ...
... a soccer game, and we all laughed and said we were Canadian, so the answer is no. We finished the night in an insanely smoky bar, we're too pooped to keep partying, so we all retreated to our quarters.

We sadly left Chamonix and vowed to return there in the winter, and drove to Annecy. Annecy was kind of a repeat of Prague, beautiful old city, on the water, with canals... we were kind of sick of that scene by then. They are applying to have the 2018 Olympics there, with the ski events at Mont Blanc. It would be a nice venue for sure.
... not-yet-open crêperies/florist's shops (good job...) As it turns out, crêperies usually don't open until 12. On Saturday, that is. Of course, we felt the need to find that out the hard way. Oh well, at least we met up successfully - the first week we were here and still trying to figure out where the bus stops actually were... the nearest bus stop to me is called Bonlieu, and it's quite confusing because recently the route ...
Talloires, Rhône-Alpes, France alicetin... I leave the next day for Leysin - Sarah has been unbelievably hospitable hosting so many guests - she and her associates organise MuSaCa approximately every 3 months, and they do this every time. I will keep that in mind for the future and try and come again. Lunch that day in Geneva is at the Chalet Suisse and I have the menu du jour - potage (soup), steak de cheval (horse steak) and pommes frites and epinards au beurre (buttered spinach). Later that afternoon I catch the train to Aigle ...
Geneva, Switzerland everardt... phrases from a book he gave me. I'd then go and try them out at the local boucherie. I felt helpless at time because as soon as I walked in to the shop they would instantly start speaking English to me. Through Jacques I met Dustin who was an Austrian/American living and working for the World Global Fund. And this is how I met Hadley. Hadley was this adventure crazy American chick studying medicine. Her dad was one of the directors of the World Global Fund and he seemed ...
