... we were glad we did. Our first stop ended up being the biggest "fish spa" I've ever seen (and it would be hard to beat). Out from the dock that we entered there was 6 big pools filled with orange fish. For about 20 Swedish kronor ($3) you got to sit down and put your feet in the water and the fish started eating on them. ... had been a long and bloody civil war in the country within living memory with the Tamil people of the North fighting for a seperate Tamil state. I knew this war was now over and the island was regarded as safe for travel. ... Apart from that we've had a read in the sun, a little swim and another huge dinner that would easily feed 6 in the UK. Tomorrow we are going to Colombo and will be eating with Halanthe (our host from Wahacotte) and his family which we are of course looking forward to. We are struggling on what to bring him as a gift for having us though (he is tee-total) so if anyone thinks of anything let us know! xxx

... and a water feature wall that runs through all 4 levels of the house! We meet the others and have lunch some sort of curry and rice which was flaming hot!!! ... not high enough to require ear protection for the workers. The bulk of the workers on the lines were young Sri Lankan girls and women. Our group of visitors with their “hair-nets” and sweating bodies must have seemed very comical to them. We did receive a lot of smiles behind their white dust masks.

At the end of the tour, we were lead back up the stairs to a tasting room to sample their “hot” ...
