... he clearly knew, and they sped off. I'm not sure what their scam was, but after that I was more than ready to leave Colombo! (I later learned from locals that there is no such thing as a "black government tuk tuk.")

Arrived at our hotel about 5.30, we were upgraded to suites overlooking the ocean! Very spacious rooms in this lovely very old (1864) hotel.
