    ... and French, but a lot of Russians amongst the two or three hundred on the long beach. The sea was colder than down south, maybe 25 degrees C. Slightly hazy, and a few clouds over the land later. So, pleasant! Midday and a bottle of pastis appeared, courtesy of Christian and Micheline. Towards 12.30 lunch appeared from the back of the minibus and with Radchanee's cousin. Dozens of sushi with hot radish sauce, followed by paper parcels of hot noodles, bamboo ...

    ... pint of local beer in an Irish Pub. We met up again at eight. Christian was feeling unwell, with the time change affecting the heart pills perhaps. Off we went to visit Walking Street. We walked for about half an hour down a street packed with bars, night clubs, restaurants, strip joints and tourist shops. It was crowded, although the real crush did not start till eleven. Girls were enticing people into their joints and waiters were proffering menus. ...

    exceptional cases even more than 2.5 m (8 ft 2 in) and over 100 kg (220 lb). They were BIG! 4 - there was a TIGER! we finally saw one, was able to touch it, stoke it and get a picture with it - jackpot. The place also had a traditional Thai culture show which was nice but ultimately nothing great. Either way we had a great day and loved that we had taken in a local treasure and got some great pictures.

    While in Cambodia, I learned a lot of things about the Cambodian culture. We visited the beautiful Angkor Wat, and climbed to the top to enjoy the view, which was bathed in the soft afternoon light.
