      ... street to eat dinner. We had local food and were the last to get served. Jenn finally caved and tried a local favourite. Pancake with cheese, chocolate and ice cream. Yes, cheese and chocolate. They actually mix cheese with many dessert like sweets. The taste is not favourable.

      ... which is more upmarket, we saw a really nice place called Cocoon the night before our anniversary which had a HedKandi event on that night as it is a pool party venue as well next to the restaurant, but as our anniversary was the next night which was also a Sunday we decided to book a table for 8pm. The next night we returned around 7pm on our way to pre dinner drinks at a bar on the beach to hear they had another pool party happening, not the romantic setting ...

      ... t born yesterday in this tourism world and we know to spot a scam.
      The beach of Kuta itself is nice and we can't complain. The patch of sand is quite large, the waves are good for surfing and it is nice to see novices trying and pros succeeding.
      The town has more KFC/Starbucks/McDonalds than Indonesian eateries. So I have a margarita. Just because.

      ... Got back on the bus for a trip further up the hills to the set off point. Arrived at point two 15 mins later, at just on 9am. Fitted for helmets life jackets and handed a paddle we were led out and sorted into groups. This company (today at least) had 25 boats on the water. Our trip started highest up the river, but we were joined at points by rafts from at least 4 other companies. Our entire trip took 2 hours. Occasionally we stopped for photos ...
