The architecture of this castle is unique in the world, and it is the most visited in the Loire Valley. It being another national holiday we did the only sensible thing and booked into the Restaurant X11 of Luynes for a slow lunch. Very pleasant time having carpaccio of smoked haddock, boudin noir, chicken , cod, and we tried the Chateau Yvonne cabernet franc recommended by Julie from Canada.
