In the hope of getting out of the bad weather of Les Deux Alpes, we headed for our next stop near Lac De Paladru, unfortunately we didn't, if anything the weather was worse with almost constant rain for the 2days we stayed, we were still recovering from our bugs so we again spent most of our time in the van..

We took a couple of walks out in between the showers so again not much to report here....

Hairpins, hairpins, hairpins that was the order of the day climbing this little gem just outside of Ugine. The Col De L'Arpettaz is the most enjoyable climb I have ever done. 16km of beauty on a small backroad. The only reason the tour has not ridden this is due to how narrow it is. By now it was almost 10pm and tomorrow it would be back to the climbing, so we took our short stroll back to the hotel and called it a night.

... meal, Connie with her crepes and me hydrating with water and a nice local beer to accompany my charcuterie plate, which is a dish of delicatessen meats, cheese and bread. Is anyone starting to see a trend? Doesn't anyone eat salad anymore? And where can I get some spaghetti?

Once we were done eating I got on the warmest jacket I had for the trip down. I was still soaked from the trip up and the wind was giving me a pretty good chill. The ...
