We spent a wonderful day with Nicolas, Elodie wee Paul and Antoine. Most of the day was at Nicolas's parents place where the pool was 25 deg, a great bbq and to finish I managed to beat Nicolas at Petanque 2 games to 1.
Taking it easy today as we packed and were taken to Geneva Airport early by Elodie. The afternoon spent in the lounge bar relaxing before our trip home via Zurich on Swiss Air.
We stay a night in Singapore. ...

... dish that I can't wait to do when I'm back home. We swam in the pool, laid in the sun and Rod & Nicolas had a major Petanque competition, it was hilarious they were soooo competitive and Nicolas has picked up an expression from the time they lived in Christchurch for a year "Holy **** Rod - I am usually good at this." Rod won 3-1 and was laughing the whole time as its ...

... After a hairy ride down the mountain by Vincent, we took alook around the farm and said hi to Melanie's brother who was milking in the four a side fifty year old shed.(about to be replaced).
Milking 60 cows a day seemed so differnent compared to NZ approx herd size of 200 to 400 with some reaching a 1000. (perhaps why our rivers are polluted). We even tried some real milk from the cow. Thanks, Melanie, Vincent, Marc & David for a delightful day.

... where he milks his cows in the old fashion way, we get a bottle of the fresh milk straight from the cows to take away with us. This is the REAL France and we are so thankful to Melanie, Vincent and her family for taking time out of there day and spoiling us. It really is the people you meet along the way that make the journey when you are travelling, the hospitality and generosity that we have been shown in France has been hard to accept at times as we have been incredibly ...

1020km's Complet as they say in France

Abertville was our lunch stop today as our planned ride was 82km's a big ask through the mountains and the longest of rides to date – talk about not choosing an easy day for a long ride!!! We had a rest for an hour and then found our way to the designated greenway path that would take us all the way to Annecy to complete our goal of 1000km’s cycled in France. We thought we were in for an easy afternoon – not to be the case as it ...
