Today is our last day in Paris....

We didn't have as early of a morning this morning so we had a leisurely Metro trip in to the city.... I believe we may just be getting the hang of this.... as long as it's not crowded, smelly, or we don't have to make too many connections....

We started our day at the Louvre Museum giving the …

      What a day!!!

Let me start by saying the Metro is not our friend. We did not lose anyone but rush hour in a major city can be a daunting experience. On the positive side, not a single student has the hoozpah to go on it by themselves so they tend to stick close!

The woman kept repeating "Je vous emmerde", with emphasis on the last word. This is a classic example of politeness. Even when the French are insulting one another, they still use the respectful "vous" form that one uses to speak to strangers and elders. I smiled and shook my head after thinking about ...

Day 176: 'sorry ma'am you are too late...'

Up we got. The time was 4am and we needed to be at the station at 4:50am. It would take 20 minutes to walk there so we left at 4.20am. It was a restless nights sleep, partly because the floor was a little uncomfortable, and partly because we were paranoid about sleeping in. But we made it to the train station, caught the train into the main station, then to metro to another train station and waited for the train to the airport on platform 13. After 15 minutes waiting ...
