          ... of the villagers. A market was in progress, fish, meat and plenty of veges. Strangely there were two permanent butcher shops within 25 m of the market which also had a butcher. The vegetable stalls had some strange looking veges for sale. We noticed in these small towns shops specialising in goods such as cellphones, jewellery and toy shops for very small populations. Perhaps they are subsidised?

          I've managed to evict the cous-cous baby, all is presently well with the world.

          We got a bit monged last night, so interesting pictures of Nantes are pretty low down the list.

          The most important thing was to find a different way back to Quimperle avoiding the Scooby doo route and the voie express.

          Garmin, bless 'em, make a map programme for your laptop called BaseCamp so you can **** around to your heart's content picking out the route ...

          Yet another sunny day in France. Last night it was so very black not sure I have ever seen such intense darkness. Suz took her panic alarm to bed with her she spooked me a bit so took mine too but I slept well. We are in the car park of what looks to be a witton park sort of place cyclists dog walkers etc. Both still in pjs drinking coffee we plan to go to the coast today about 10 miles ...

          Last night i slept in my tent for the first time. It's bizar realising that this is gonna be my house for the bigger part of the following months. I had a lovely night though. It took me more or less 20 minutes to set up my camp. Need to find routine in this.

          ... times longer than usual. Even on a major road, it was bumper to bumper traffic. We did not arrive back at our hotel until 1:30pm. It was quite a day and night!!

          Puy du Fou receives no government funding and we will need to research more about its founder and the current association, as we believe he/it is heavily involved in humanitarian work in Vietnam and Madagascar.
