... splendide village, but at time of writing 10.30 pm. The heavens have just openned, the most amazing 5 minute storm has just blown through.
Subject to weather we will be setting off, bound for Ile d'yeu, a small island in the Vendee.
Tomorrow we are hoping to post a blog with pictures while we are underway.
... was very busy around 40 boats again.
Mid morning we left and headed for Pornichet - a major seaside resort with good train and bus connections to places we want to visit.
On Tuesday we took a couple of bus journeys and visited Le Croisic (an old fishing port) and Guerande (an old walled town). Both we're great.
... was all about the ocean.

Christiana and Robert, along with neighbours and old friends from The Vendee, Nice,
Corsica and Paris welcomed the non-French speakers warmly. Friends performed folk songs from the past.

A splendid weekend …. I had almost forgotten about Le
... hit us and Jade took off about 60 degrees in the wrong direction. I got her back under control with some difficulty and we decided very swiftly that the spinnaker was coming straight back down. We didn't need it anyway, our normal sails were giving us a great turn of speed with the wind we were getting.
We settled ourselves down on our pontoon and got down to toasting our success.
I'm in Casablanca now, it's 31°, Nantes was 12 °. It's brown like Australia, France was lush and green,I don't suppose they have great tasting strawberries here. How odd, this morning I was wandering around the market in La Boule, now Casablanca. Two hours flight and the world has completely changed, it's not like this in Australia!
